It is sometimes said that the piano is the world’s most loved musical instrument, and certainly it is ours. We have been giving lessons on the art of playing the piano for more than thirty years and it continues to give pleasure to us and our pupils.
As well as lessons, we have a number of other specialist services on offer, such as restoration of piano actions and piano tuning. (You may be interested to know that this knowledge of the mechanical design of the piano is often used when giving lessons.)

We are situated on the west side of Long Eaton, not far from Trent College.

Batchelor of science degree, Loughborough University. Chartered Engineer. Member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology. Diploma in management studies.
Licentiate, Royal Academy of Music as piano performer. (A concert standard is required)
After graduation, Gerald’s career began in industry during which he rose to the position of Chief Electrical Engineer with the Coventry based Associated Engineering group, and later on as Chief Quality Engineer with GEC ltd. He left industry to teach the piano and to apply his interest in the mechanical construction of the piano action.
Mrs Wright has a wide experience in the piano and its components and has contributed to action restoration work. She does the bookings for piano and theory lessons and for tuning visits. She is always accessible whilst lessons are in progress.
This is a partnership in which Mrs Wright does all the administration work thereby leaving Mr Wright able to give his full attention to lessons and piano services.
