Areas served: Long Eaton and Erewash district, Ilkeston, Spondon, Borrowash, Trowell, Sandiacre, Stapleford, Risley, Kegworth, Chilwell, Wollaton and Beeston.
Visits and times: Mornings, Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday. The time taken will depend on the condition of the instrument and will take 2 hours or more depending on condition of the instrument and any running repairs which may be needed. We usually arrive at 9.30am if traffic will permit.
Additional work: Some faults can be corrected during the visit, for example: sticking keys or loose tuning pins (wrest pins). Older pianos may have loose ivories: these cannot be repaired in situ. This has to be done in our workshop. If you have missing ivories we can supply replacements, but it is always best to keep any detached ones safely so that they can be put back. This is because the colour is variable and to secure an exact match is difficult.
